Award: We awarded for best performance of the year to two IC nurses in 2005 and 2006. We also awarded Monowara Hospital Private Limited for their contribution in IC. Publication: Newsletter once in a year. We also prepared some popular posters on safe disposal of hospital waste, hand washing and judicious use of antibiotic, etc. 2011 plan: Preparation of a SOP (Infection control module) for hospitals. Interactive webpage development. Visit of three hospitals. Nurses training in four different institutes. Resource person: Prof Zahidul Hasan of Square Hospital supported by Prof AA Saleh of BSMMU, Prof KM Shadul Islam of DMCH, Prof SA Jilani of BIRDEM. ICPPB is delighted to work with the medical microbiologists to make a field for them to take leadership in Infection Control (IC) in hospital setup. After ground-making work with microbiologists, ICPPB is now very much inclined to move forward to incorporate with the clinicians in this program. Infection Control is a holistic process & without the symbiosis of microbiologists, Clinicians, and Nurses it won’t be a success.
